Sunday’s are the best, I wake up and take Luna to our local markets. I love our little adventures to the markets, Luna gets to taste test fruit and veg she normally wouldn’t normally get tot taste. In my endeavor to eat and drink organic fruit and veg, it also got me thinking about wines too!
I knew they existed but I didn’t know what brands made them and made them well at that! I found one, Craftsman Organic. Delicious, satisfying and perfect for wines by our fireplace.
This organic wine brand focuses on environmentally friendly and mindful consumers who are still interested in indulging in delicious alcoholic beverages once in a while. My fave wine at the moment is Shiraz. As I did my research, I found that Craftsman Organic is a leading brand that produces organic wines using only natural farming practices which means their wines are made with fewer chemicals and ultimately kinder to the environment.
As a millennial, I am conscious of our consumption and the impact it has on the environment. I truly believe this is something we are becoming more passionate about, am I right?! Not just thinking about where we get our fruit, veg and meat, but also the occasional wine we like to enjoy.
What is organic wine?
An organic wine is made from grapes that have been grown without the use of artificial or synthetic chemicals, such as herbicides and pesticides. To keep the weeds and bugs at bay, organic farmers work with nature, by boosting their vineyard’s biodiversity. In this way, the vineyard becomes a self-regulating, natural ecosystem, which is able to combat problems intrinsically and eliminates the need for artificial, and potentially toxic, chemicals.
Where you can find Craftsman Organic wine
I love Craftsman Organic as an option AND especially their 2016 Shiraz at that! It’s sold at a very reasonable price point too. My love for Champagne will never fade but if I can change my buying habits with fruit, veg and meat then I can also do it when buying wine. Think more about the environment.
